There’s a lot going on behind the scenes over here, but when something big happens we want to keep you in the loop. Our students are busy working with their mentors learning how to become the best board-certified health coaches they can. It’s with extreme excitement that we announce the big news. We just got our program report from the February NBHWC exam and for the first time ever, 100% of our program grads who sat for the exam have passed! This is huge news and we are so proud of each and every one of our students.
Check out these rock stars from our program!
On September 21st, 2020, I proudly graduated from PACK EDUCATION’S Health & Wellness coach training program and I discovered last month that I had passed the NBC-HWC exam, written in February 2021. In my private practice as an LPCi in Oregon State, I use a coaching approach whenever possible and professionally appropriate. I especially find myself drawing from positive psychology and appreciative inquiry, both of which dovetail so nicely with solution-focused brief therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, my main psychotherapy approaches. In mid-June, I will be taking a fulltime job as a behavioral consultant at Mosaic Medical in Redmond, Oregon. As my sessions will last 30 minutes or shorter, the laser-focused approach practiced (and taught) by many of the instructors at PACK HEALTH will certainly come in handy. In the end, I hope to use my coach training and philosophy behind coaching to help my underserved clients move towards health and a life lived with meaning and in accordance to their personal values.
Craig Sinclair, MA, LPCi, NBC-HWC
So happy to let you know that I am a Nationally Board Certified Health Coach! I was able to sell my gym the week after I finished the program at PACK and began logging sessions and studying for the exam. I felt confident and prepared sitting for the exam, and I appreciate PACK Health offering an affordable and satisfactory program for others to obtain the skills necessary to pass the boards. Continuing to learn and grow, I have also been accepted at Point Loma Nazarene University’s Master of Kinesiology in Integrative Wellness under Dr. Jessica Matthews.
